Selling Bahia Principe Just Got Easier!

Same Rewarding Product – Now in Three Bite Size Brands

When a hotel group has 24 gorgeous properties in its portfolio to choose from, it can sometimes be hard to know where to start when a client asks for recommendations.

But fear not, because Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has just redesigned its Caribbean portfolio into three brand categories that make identifying the right property for the right client an absolute breeze.

You can expect the same great Bahia Principe product, but with three new brand categories and three smart new logos.

How Do the Brand Categories Help Travel Agents?

So, we have three new brand categories, but the million-dollar question is this: Does the redesign actually make the travel agent’s job easier?

The answer, according to Sal Buccellato, Bahia Principe’s national accounts director for Canada, is definitely yes.

“We have channelled each of our properties into one of three consumer-friendly brands, which makes it much easier for a travel agent to suggest a particular brand to a client,” he explained.

Here’s the lowdown on the company’s new-look Caribbean portfolio…

BITE SIZE BRAND #1:
Luxury Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts

Formerly known as the ‘Luxury Bahia Principe Don Pablo Collection’, this category represents the crème de la crème of the group’s luxurious five-star properties in the Caribbean and Mexico. Luxury Bahia Principe properties include:

Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado

  • Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado (Dominican Republic)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Samaná (Dominican Republic)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia (Dominican Republic)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue (Dominican Republic)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Green (Dominican Republic)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville (Dominican Republic)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda (Dominican Republic)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Runaway Bay (Jamaica)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal (Mexico)
  • Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an (Mexico)

The Right Client:

“Luxury Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts have all the same services as the old Luxury Bahia Principe Don Pablo Collection, but what gives them the wow factor is the 24-hour room service, the unlimited a la carte dining, the butler service on request, the concierge service and the waiter service at the beach and the pool,” Buccellato enthused.

“It’s worth taking a look at a Grand Bahia Principe property and then doing a price comparison with how much it would cost your get your clients into a Luxury Bahia Principe property. A lot of the time it’s maybe $100 to $200, so it’s definitely worth it.”

BITE SIZE BRAND #2:
Grand Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts

Featuring the group’s stylish and affordable five-star properties in Mexico and the Caribbean, Grand Bahia Principe properties include:

Grand Bahia Principe San Juan

  • Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa (Dominican Republic)
  • Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo (Dominican Republic)
  • Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana (Dominican Republic)
  • Grand Bahia Principe La Romana (Dominican Republic)
  • Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa (Dominican Republic)
  • Grand Bahia Principe Bávaro (Dominican Republic)
  • Grand Bahia Principe San Juan (Dominican Republic)
  • Grand Bahia Principe Coba (Mexico)
  • Grand Bahia Principe Tulum (Mexico)
  • Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica (Jamaica)

The Right Client:

For those clients who can’t be persuaded to upgrade to a Luxury Bahia Principe property, the Grand Bahia Principe category is sure to please them.

“The Grand Bahia Principe properties are suitable for those clients who are more conscious about their budget,” explained Buccellato. “These properties are very well placed for the Canadian market, because they offer everything that a Canadian is looking for in a holiday.”

BITE SIZE BRAND #3:
Fantasia Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts

This growing family-friendly concept showcases the group’s themed hotels and is inspired by the success of its latest Punta Cana resort, the Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia. As part of the rebrand, the property is due to be renamed the Fantasia Bahia Principe Punta Cana in November—while over in Spain, the Fantasia Bahia Principe Tenerife is set to open its doors at the same time.

The Right Client:

“This is where the changes in the brand redesign really come in,” added Buccellato. “In NOV 2016 we opened the Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia in Punta Cana and it did extremely well, so we’re now presenting Fantasia as a distinct brand in itself.

“It’s perfect for families who are looking for a magical experience. So, if the parents don’t want to be entertaining the kids all the time, the Fantasia is for them. That way the parents get a holiday, as well as the kids. The Fantasia brand definitely has enough of that wow factor for everybody.”
