Fly Rouge To EDI

Wanna know why?

This July, Air Canada rouge starts non-stop flights from Toronto to Edinburgh 3 times a week.

A new airline. A new destination. A whole new program of hotels, excursions, escorted tours and car rentals. And a whole bunch of consumer incentives designed to drive clients to your doors and websites.

That’s what Air Canada Vacations has in store for you beginning this July, when Air Canada’s new leisure carrier rouge takes off for the Scottish capital of Edinburgh.

Let’s start with the incentives. For bookings made by April 30th, your clients can save up to $300 per couple by bundling air with hotel and car rental or rail journey. They’ll also earn 5,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles, plus an additional 100 Bonus Aeroplan Miles for every $100 spent on the package. That’s not all: when your clients book a 7 night air and hotel package to Edinburgh, they’ll receive a free hop-on, hop-off tour of the city, the perfect way to get oriented in one of the most interesting cities of Europe.

Non-stop flights from Toronto to Edinburgh kick off July 2nd and run through October 17th, with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday departures. The new rouge promises affordable, competitive fares and 3 classes of service: rouge, rouge Plus and Premium rouge.  “We are really excited to add Edinburgh to our destination list,” says Nino Montagnese, VP Sales & Marketing for ACV. “In our planning meetings we found that EDI as a key leisure destination was underserved. There is a lot of VFR traffic from Canada to Scotland, and second and third generation Scots want to go back to their roots but don’t necessarily have places to stay. It’s a perfect combination for a leisure carrier such as Rouge.”

The program is created for maximum flexibility from a wide range of choices. For those travellers who want all the planning done for them, there’s a 10 day, 8 night escorted tour of Scotland, and there are several 2-5-day small group tours that can be added on an a la carte basis.

“Our research and consultations with Visit Scotland suggest it’s a perfect place to explore on your own,” Montagnese says. “We feature over 50 hotels in Edinburgh, over 30 in Glasgow, and we have 40 activities to choose from, including small group day and multi-day trips, attraction passes, hop-on, hop-off tours, walking tours and much more. You can help your clients plan their entire trip through our website and brochures, and earn commission on all the components of a great holiday.”

There are 3 air-inclusive packages available for exploring Scotland:
