ACV & Sandals Resorts: A Results-Driven Partnership

Some things just work… milk and cookies, Tarzan and Jane, fish and chips -- and Sandals and Air Canada Vacations.

As the two travel industry trailblazers mark over 35 years of working together, we’re taking a look at the superb synergy that surrounds this ground-breaking partnership.

“In many ways, our two companies have grown up together in the Canadian travel industry,” explained Francine Allen, Sandals brand manager/product development for ACV. “We were both relatively new to the marketplace when we started to work together—and here we are over 35 years later with a strong, solid partnership based on the strengths and similarities of our two brands.”

The companies work well together on many levels, from the collaboration that exists between executive management teams, to the alliance between sales teams, who are out on the road working together on joint sales calls and travel agent events across the whole of Canada.    

The partnership also works so well due to the natural similarities that exist between the two brands: “The simple truth is that ACV clients are Sandals clients and vice-versa,” added Allen. “These clients want a quality product. They want exceptional service; they want value for their hard-earned vacation dollars -- and they want to place their trust in brands that can deliver on their promises time and time again.” 

Add to that the fact that ACV is the only Canadian tour operator that boasts direct flights to every island destination that is home to a Sandals or Beaches resort, and you’ll begin to see why the partnership is so strong.

“No other Canadian tour operator can match our flights to the Caribbean,” added Allen. “And our level of knowledge on the Sandals product is second to none. The agents at our ACV call centres have all received extensive training, so they can help agents navigate their way through the various resorts and the different room categories and find the right one for their client.

“We make sure that travel agents who book Sandals with ACV have a wealth of resources at their disposal, including dedicated Sandals reservations agents, a Sandals phone line and a Sandals brand manager in-house at ACV.” 

Agents can also receive ACV & Me points on every booking, and when they register their ACV booking on Sandals’ travel agent portal, they can earn complimentary nights with the popular ‘Points to Paradise’ program.

It’s just one more example of the evolution of the Sandals and ACV partnership: “Innovation has been at the core of Sandals since day one,” added Allen. “They’re always elevating the all inclusive industry. 

“How do they do it? By listening to what people want now, and what they want next. Taking feedback from their guests and industry partners -- like Air Canada Vacations -- and then adding it to their own internal research and development, is a winning formula.  

“Sandals is never one to rest on its many laurels. It’s always striving to be one step ahead at all times.”

RECENT PROMO - FREE CATAMARAN - A BUST AT SANDALS SOUTH COAST -CLIENTS FELT LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO STEAL IT WHEN IN FACT THEY HAD A VOUCHER FROM ACV NOT BEING RECOGNIZED AT DESTINATION !
