Unlimited Opportunities For Unlimited-Luxury®

New AMResorts brands & new properties equal new clients

Do you want to keep your finger on the all inclusive industry pulse? Then don’t take your eyes off AMResorts®. Leading the way with eight award-winning brands— Zoëtry®, Secrets®, Breathless®, Dreams®, Now®, Reflect® and Sunscape® Resorts & Spas, and Alua® Hotels & Resorts —AMResorts is one of the fastest-growing luxury resort companies in North America, boasting an impressive portfolio of upscale resorts in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Curaçao, Panama and Spain.

Ask Orelbys Vigoa, AMResorts’ business development manager for Quebec and Eastern Canada, why Canadian travel agents should be talking to their clients about AMResorts right now, and he has a million enthusiastic reasons at his fingertips.

“There are no wristbands for our guests at any of the resorts across our brands,” he’s proud to announce. “We also offer three all inclusive programs, from ‘Endless Privileges®’ at Zoëtry to ‘Unlimited-Luxury®’ at Secrets, Breathless, Dreams, Now and Reflect, and ‘Unlimited-Fun®’ at Sunscape, our entry level budget-friendly brand.”

So far, so good… But one of the main reasons Canadian travel agents should be talking to their clients about AMResorts is that they’re aimed specifically at the North American market: “Our resorts have been designed with the North American traveller in mind,” adds Vigoa. “They're easily accessible from major gateaways; our brands are instantly recognizable; our resorts are unique; and -- most importantly -- agents can sell AMResorts with confidence. They know that their clients will come back happy and book repeat business with them.”

Reflections On Reflect

A supplier this successful has no time to sit on its laurels, which is why AMResorts is currently enhancing its Breathless brand and launching a brand new one: Reflect Resorts & Spas.

Reflect Nuevo Vallarta

“Reflect is a new brand that was created with families in mind,” explains Vigoa. “We have three Reflect resorts in very prominent Mexican destinations: Reflect Cancun Resort & SpaReflect Krystal Grand Los Cabos and Reflect Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta.

“I’m very excited about it because it offers a more cultural experience to its guests. For example, in Cancun we have a restaurant that is located outside Reflect Cancun. The restaurant is called Hacienda El Mortero and it’s included in the resort’s Unlimited-Luxury® program. It’s just a five-minute walk from the resort and your clients have access to that local experience for free.”

Breathless Reborn

With several brands on offer, it can be difficult to get a clear picture of what brand to recommend to specific clients. So what’s happening with the evolution of the Breathless brand? And as the brand evolves, how should travel agents be talking to their clients about what’s on offer?

Breathless Montego Bay

“Breathless is one of our adult-only brands,” explains Vigoa. “We have four properties: Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic, Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort & Spa and Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa in Mexico, and Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa in Jamaica.

“Whereas Secrets is romantic, Breathless resorts have more of a social, vibrant atmosphere and an elevated focus on night life and theme parties. However, we want to let clients know that they’re not just party resorts.

“Breathless is a sophisticated five-star brand that offers gourmet dining and a party atmosphere. But it also offers places to relax, so your clients will have a lot of fun, but they’ll also have plenty of opportunities to wind down and enjoy what we call the ‘breathe deep’ concept. It’s great for singles and groups of friends or couples travelling together. At Breathless they get to live big and breathe deep!”

Exciting New-Builds

AMResorts continues to build its portfolio. Currently boasting nearly 60 resorts in seven countries, the company has a number of impressive new-builds underway.

“We’re coming into St Martin with the new Secrets St Martin Resort & Spa, which is set to open on March 1 next year,” enthuses Vigoa. “Located just 35 minutes from the airport on the French side of the island, it’s going to offer modern design that’s inspired by the island’s natural surroundings. It will have 258 suites with views of the ocean, marina and the mountains, and it will include swim-out suites."

Sunscape Star

“Then we have the Dreams Vista Cancun Resort & Spa in Puerto Cancun, an upscale community north of the Cancun Hotel Zone, which is due to open on November 1 of this year. It’s a resort with unique selling points, as all rooms are ocean view, and most of the bars and restaurants are ocean view too. It also has an infinity swimming pool on the rooftop that will be for adults only.

“We also have the Now Natura in Riviera Cancun, which is scheduled to open this December. It's a new construction that’s only 15 to 20 minutes from the international airport and the whole resort is inspired by the Mayan jungle.”

There are also two conversions in Mexico taking place this year. The Grand Oasis Sens opened as the  Now Emerald Cancun Resort and Spa on June 1 and the Grand Oasis Tulum is being transformed into the Sunscape Akumal Beach Resort & Spa with an anticipated opening date of October 1.

And last, but by no means least, AMResorts is opening its second resort in Curacao. Following a US$15 million renovation of the former Hilton Curacao, Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino will open its doors this December.
