Getting Better All The Time

Investments Raise Sirenis Portfolio To ‘Grand’ Status

If it’s luxury your clients seek, take another look at Sirenis Hotels, which is investing heavily in elevating two important properties to ‘Grand’ status – the company’s most luxurious brand.

A $30 million renovation of the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Casino & Aquagames is just wrapping up and the Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Hotel & Spa is being updated. Both will now qualify as ‘Grand’ properties in order to deliver a vacation experience of the highest calibre to its guests, who Sirenis considers part of its family.

Family Lazy River

“We’re a family-owned company that makes the guests feel [like they’re] part of the family,” said Marcella Nunez, business development manager for Sirenis Hotels. “We have invested significantly in our product and the results are very special – we will take very good care of your clients.”

With all upgrades and renovations scheduled to be complete by this winter, Sirenis is now looking to agents for their support in getting the word out about this luxurious transformation.

What can clients expect when they visit one of Sirenis’ three ‘Grand’ properties? Dining is one of the many standouts.

“Everything has been improved and there’s a lot of choice in à la carte restaurants, including ones featuring Brazilian, Italian and Japanese cuisine,” said Nunez. “There’s a concierge at the entrance of every building, and guests can make same-day restaurant reservations (with them) without having to go to the main lobby.” Sirenis offers three à la carte dinners included in a week-long all-inclusive package.

At the newly renovated Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Casino & Aquagames (which is set to become a ‘Grand’ in December), the Tropical side of the resort was closed and the inside of each guest room, all the service areas and some of the water park were gutted and renovated to get in line with the ‘Grand’ level of standards.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by lush coconut groves that open up to the resort, which features generous suites with ample amenities, an on-site waterpark that features 10 waterslides, as well as easy access to a variety of nearby attractions. Set on Punta Cana’s Uvero Alto Beach, it features a choice of nine restaurants and seven bars.

In Mexico, there’s a choice of two sister Grand Sirenis properties: Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa and Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Hotel & Spa, which will also officially become a Grand property in December.

The Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa is a family-friendly, all-inclusive retreat – much like Sirenis’ Punta Cana property – that offers two main pools, a quiet pool, a lazy river, eight à la carte restaurants, the full-service SPA Grand Sirenis, and prime beachfront snorkeling, along with easy access to the on-site Dolphin Discovery, guided bike rides through the EcoSirenis trails, and at the end of every action-packed day, an array of suites that clients will call home.

As for the Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Hotel & Spa, it is part of the same complex as its sister property, and offers a range of spacious and modern Junior Suites, three pools plus a separate pool for children, a lazy river, open-air lounges, two main buffet restaurants along with eight themed restaurants, 11 bars, a disco, and a theatre for evening shows. Guests also have access to the award-winning SPA Grand Sirenis, which they can enjoy when they are not stretched out on the beautiful stretch of white sand beach, which boasts an authentic Mayan ruin.

For a slightly different, perhaps more ‘zen’ holiday experience with Sirenis, the company also offers a new ‘Grand’ resort in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit: Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills

More ‘adult-focused’ than the other properties – meaning not particularly geared to families but can still accommodate children – Matlali Hills is more boutique in style, with just 117 rooms. It is located up in the hills, so not beachfront, but with stunning ocean views and a private beach club available to guests that is just seven minutes away via private shuttle.

And as if all that ‘Grand’ news wasn’t enough, Sirenis Hotels just recently announced that at the end of the year, it will open a Grand Sirenis on the island of San Andrés in Colombia.
