An Adult Experience Comes To Barceló Maya Grand

Being spoiled for choice is a luxury at the new Barceló Maya Riviera

Already one of the premier resort complexes Mexico and the Caribbean, the Barceló Maya Grand Resort is about to add another option for your clients, with the December opening of the luxury adults-only Barceló Maya Riviera.

Barceló Maya Riviera joins five other hotels in the complex and guests have access to all communal areas throughout the other properties: Barceló Maya Palace, Barceló Maya BeachBarceló Maya CaribeBarceló Maya Colonial and Barceló Maya Tropical

"If we didn't have enough of 'Stay at 1, Play at 5', we have 'Stay at 1, Play at 6' now. There are six hotels within the whole complex and you can explore everything within the space," says Rick McCauley, Senior Director of Sales with Barceló.

But as the only 18+ property within the Barceló Maya Grand Resort portfolio, guests may not want to leave the serenity of the Barceló Maya Riviera.

Ideal for couples, groups and conventions, the new addition to the Barcelo complex boasts 850 luxurious Junior Suites & Suites, with more than half overlooking the ocean.

And it's a view that's sure to impress! Those 500 Ocean View suites look out at a pristine 5-star white-sand beach considered one of the most beautiful of the Mexican Caribbean. Set along 2.5 kilometres of crystal clear turquoise waters, the resort is also close to the world’s second largest coral reef.

Taking things up a notch are the 110 Swim Up suites that include a private pool and solarium area. All suites come with a hydro massage tub and comfortable double beds or “Super King” options, exclusively designed for Barceló Maya Riviera.

Premium Level guests receive an extra touch of luxury and exclusivity with unique services including private check-in and check-out, priority a-la-carte restaurant reservations, personalized concierge service, exclusive access to the Premium Level lounge, daily access to the hydrotherapy circuit in the spa, and more.

Of course guests can stroll through the complex on foot, but to make things easier there's a double-decker bus connecting each of the resorts operating regularly, making travel from Barceló Maya Riviera to Barceló Maya Palace and everything in between a breeze -- at no extra cost. Service runs every 20 minutes throughout the entire day, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Within the entire complex, there's an array of 16 restaurants to choose from, but the options are pretty enticing within the Barceló Maya Riviera alone.

In addition to five bars, the resort has a buffet restaurant serving international cuisine and four specialty a-la-carte establishments, offering a diverse array of cuisine, including Mexican (with a “Tacoyaki” bar), French fine dining, Italian, and Japanese (including 10 Teppanyaki tables and one Robatayaki table for fireside cooking).

U-Spa Wellness & Fitness Centre

Ticking off the final must-have of an adults-only resort is the U-Spa Wellness & Fitness Centre, inspired by the four elements. Along with 26 treatment rooms used to decompress with massages, facials and body wraps, the spa has a sauna and steam room, tropical and bi-thermal showers, dynamic pool and immersion pools. There's also a dedicated relaxation area where guests can unwind and tune out everyday life.

With an upcoming opening date of 15DEC, 2019, Barceló Maya Riviera is now on sale with Air Canada Vacations and ready to have all its treasures discovered!
