Europe Cruising With ACV & Royal Caribbean: Historic Shores Await!

Royal Caribbean offers exciting itineraries and ‘amplified’ ships in 2020

Cruising Europe with Air Canada Vacations might just be the perfect multi-generational travel option for 2020.

Frequent, convenient Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flights to Europe’s leading cruise ports combined with a fleet of Royal Caribbean’s finest ships exploring the waters of the Med and beyond adds up to an experience that will thrill clients of all ages.

“Expanding the Europe collection has allowed us to broaden our cruise offerings as well. We now have over 500 European cruise itineraries to offer,” says Dana Gain, Senior Director of Sales for Air Canada Vacations.

“Among those are some of the Royal Caribbean sailings that are sure to be noticed, including itineraries touching on the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Canary Islands, and sailings to Russia and Scandinavia out of Southampton,” Gain adds.

Here’s the lineup of Royal Caribbean ships in Europe for 2020:

Allure of the Seas sailing from Barcelona; Brilliance of the Seas out of Amsterdam; Explorer of the Seas departing Rome; Rhapsody of the Seas sailing from Venice; Vision of the Seas sailing from Barcelona; Jewel of the Seas sailing from Copenhagen, Barcelona and Stockholm and Anthem of the Seas cruising out of Southampton.

Christine Chiang, Manager, Product Development, Cruises, for ACV, says the ACV/Royal Caribbean cruise partnership in Europe offers agents and their clients a long list of advantages.

“Royal Caribbean is a big, big partner for us, in Europe and in the Caribbean. Royal is a very strong brand, offering a consistently excellent product wherever it sails. And we’re excited that we get to promote this product in conjunction with our extensive flight program,” Chiang told Open Jaw.

The many Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flights to European Royal Caribbean homeports has enabled ACV to create a “Cruise Promise.” Highlights include:

Lowest Price: If an agent or their client find a flight with Air Canada or Air Canada Rouge at a lower price at the time of booking, ACV will pay the entire cost of the flight for all passengers on the booking.

Flight Guarantee: ACV’s Cruise Promise offers a guaranteed return flight should a ship return late for any reason. And in the unlikely event that a delayed flight causes a client to miss their cruise, they will be booked on the next available flight to catch up with it.

Low Deposit & Ultimate Flexibility: For European cruise and flight package bookings made by June 30, 2020, only a $50 deposit is required and cruisers get FREE CAREFREE. All flights are 100% refundable up to 30 days prior to travel. As well, one name change is permitted up to 30 days prior to travel.

“With that kind of flexibility and other perks like free standard seat selection and Aeroplan Miles, agents have strong tools to close the sale early and ensure their clients get the right category and date they want. And we honour all the cruise line promotions as well, so there’s strong incentive to book early and save,” Chiang says.

Chiang also reminds travel advisors that booking cruises online with ACV is faster and easier than ever with the operator’s recently-launched and much-enhanced cruise booking system. “If you would like some training on this time-saving options, just reach out to your Air Canada Vacations' sales rep,” she says.
